Second chance school is not meant to satisfy a need for labour or studies, but to provide each student with the opportunity to develop his/her own potential and talent, because second chance school concepts stress an informal learning focusing on promotion of self-confidence and social or professional competences taking a holistic view of knowledge putting the focus on what they already know using it as a basis for their future development and on learning how they can acquire new knowledge and competences by using informal and innovative teaching methods.
